Dim or washed-out image
Brightness has dropped noticeably, colours look flat, and turning the lamp to high barely helps.
Dim brightness, colour distortion, overheating shutdowns, lens and focus faults — we diagnose and fix them on all leading brands. Home theatres, offices, schools and event venues, with on-site support anywhere in the emirates.
A projector is a light source, an optical path and a cooling system working under heat for thousands of hours. When the picture goes dim, tints green, drops out mid-presentation or the unit shuts itself down, the cause is nearly always one of those three — and each has a different fix and a different cost.
UHP lamps dim steadily as they age and eventually fail outright; laser and LED engines lose output more slowly. Symptoms are a washed-out picture, a lamp warning light, or nothing at all when you press power.
Dust on the DMD chip, a failing colour wheel, or degraded LCD panels and polarisers. You get coloured blobs, a rattling or whining noise, flickering tints, dead pixels, or an image that won't come into focus.
Blocked filters, tired fans, and failing ballast or power boards. These show up as overheat shutdowns after ten or twenty minutes, loud running, or a unit that clicks and refuses to start.
We diagnose first and quote a fixed price before any work. If a repair costs more than the projector is worth, we tell you straight and charge nothing for looking.
If your projector is doing any of this, bring it in or call us out.
Brightness has dropped noticeably, colours look flat, and turning the lamp to high barely helps.
Green, pink or purple casts, flickering colour, or rainbow banding across the image.
Runs fine, then cuts out with a temperature warning — usually blocked filters or a failing fan.
Dark or coloured marks that stay in the same place regardless of the source. Dust on the DMD or panels.
Blurry edges, a lens that won't hold focus, or a jammed zoom and lens-shift mechanism.
Dead unit, blinking status lights, or HDMI and VGA inputs that stopped being detected.
DLP, 3LCD, LCoS and laser units — home theatre, classroom, boardroom and venue installs.
Genuine lamp modules fitted and hours reset, plus laser and LED engine diagnosis on newer units where output has dropped.
Dust removal from the DMD chip, LCD panels, prisms and lens assembly to clear spots, blobs and hazy contrast.
Replacement of worn colour wheels and bearings for rattling noise, flicker, rainbow artefacts and colour dropout.
Component-level work on power supplies, lamp ballasts and standby circuits for dead units and start-up failures.
Full internal clean, filter replacement, thermal paste renewal and fan swaps to stop overheating shutdowns.
Focus and zoom mechanism repair, lens-shift motors, HDMI port rework, firmware and input-detection issues.
Ceiling-mounted and short-throw units serviced in place, with calibration checked before we leave.
Meeting-room projectors and screens, scheduled around your working hours to avoid downtime.
Multi-unit classroom fleets, including bulk lamp replacement and preventive cleaning during term breaks.
High-brightness and large-venue projectors, with priority response when an event date is fixed.
Projector repair is specialist work — the optics are delicate and a careless clean does more damage than the original fault. Here's how we handle it.
Five steps, from your first message to a working picture.
WhatsApp the brand, model number, lamp hours if you know them, and a photo of the image fault.
We visit for ceiling-mounted and installed units, or collect free of charge in Sharjah, Dubai and Ajman.
Light output, thermals and boards are checked properly. You get a fixed price before anything is replaced.
Parts fitted, optics cleaned, then hours of running at temperature to confirm the fault is gone for good.
Refitted, focused and aligned to your screen, with the warranty written on your invoice.
Something like "Epson EB-X05 — image very dim, lamp light orange" is enough for us to tell you what it usually is and roughly what it costs.
Not always. Lamps do dim with hours, but a dusty optical block, a dirty filter forcing eco mode, or a failing ballast produce the same symptom. We measure output before recommending a lamp, because a lamp is the expensive answer and often the wrong one.
Cleaning, filter service and lamp replacement are usually same-day. Colour wheel and board repairs take one to three working days, longer if a part has to be ordered for the model — we confirm the timeline with the quote.
Both. Filter service, lamp swaps and alignment are done on site, including ceiling-mounted units. Optical and board work needs the bench, so we dismount it, take it in, and refit it when it's done.
Yes for workshop diagnosis, and you see a fixed price before we start. If you decide not to proceed, you pay nothing. On-site call-outs carry a visit charge that we waive if you go ahead with the repair.
Yes. We handle multi-unit preventive servicing — filters, internal cleaning and lamp replacement — scheduled around term breaks or outside office hours, with a single report at the end.
